Which thing has made the fable of Pinocchio universal?  Neither the grace of the story, neither the literary ability of the author.  The value of the message is much deeper and is referable to that source of

legitimation and conservation of the model of the relationships in the familiar sphere that, in the opinion of Montefoschi, is all the issue of Edipo.  The puppet, Edipo of wood, expresses the same restlessness that was of Dante, Virgil, Dumas father and son and of the most eminent histories of every time.  It is amazing the way in which Collodi replaces the message of emancipation-liberation to the one of the Christian martyrdom of the son on the wood of the cross.  From the physical matter, the wood, to the right to the life and not, vice versa, to its negation.  From the investigation on the domestic nature of this particular affection that pretends to limit the possibilities of social emancipation of the children tying them to the debit and the guilt as expressions of the familiar possession, derives aporia:  or possession or liberation. The Collodian allegory eludes the physiological press of the delivery:  not Saint Giuseppe, but G(ius)eppetto carpenter realizes, by himself, the ritual of the creation, from the matter to the subject, in clamorous controversy against the interference of the Holy Spirit in the sexual competences of Maria.  The test considers the essential topics of an affective praxis of emancipation:

- the relation daughter-mother in which it is defined and structured the fundamental concept of sexual difference.  Such difference is not a mere issue of male-feminine gender, but a matter of generation! Of generational alternation of the woman daughter in the place and in the role of mother.

- As regards the son, here is the actual interpretation of Edipo : does his affective debut really start from the desire to couple with his mother?  Is it not rather Giocasta, in the double divine identity of Sfinge and alienated woman, who always motivates to patricide, in the ritual of  substitution of the husband-father with the son become adult?  From Edipo to Oreste to Amlet, also for the son the issue is placed in the terms of a division from the original fusion in order to rescue the phallus to the destiny of possession in incest or of prescription to failure.  In this analysis, which considers the effective will of the mother and of her power of influence on both sexes, the coherent interpretation of affective significance of myths, of  the rituals and of the literature of every time is very interesting. The monotheist Theocracy shows therefore its valence of organized exposure of the psychology of the mother.  The spirituality and the magical suggestion are manifestations of the affective power based on the supremacy of the creation, that is of the delivery, its evocative immanence in the real world.

 Biographical notes of the author

Sergio Martella (Magione 1956) carries out in Padova and Mestre his activity of Psychotherapeutist Psychologist.  Specialized in hypnosis and with analytic formation, has been for eight years scholarship holder and investigator in the Division of Oncology of Padova’s Hospital, and has been for five years adviser in the domiciliary assistance to the sick ones of cancer. 

Numerous the participations on setting and psychotherapies in the oncology conventions.  From 1994 he carries out assignments of instruction in health ambit and in the university diplomas of the Medicine and Surgery Faculty of the University of Padova.
